Committees

The committees of Council are many and varied and range from Swimming Pools, Halls, Cemeteries to Tourism and Progress Associations.

s355 Committees - Published: 04 May 2005
Under the New South Wales Local Government Act 1993 Council is able to delegate some of its responsibilities to community committees.

Central Darling Shire Council assists with and co-ordinates many local and community activities and initiatives with the assistance of Section 355 Committees of Council.

These Committees undertake the core business of Council that Council do not have the resources to manage, e.g. Community Hall Management, Swimming Pool Management etc. Each of these Committees have either a Council Staff Member or a Councillor as Council's Representative.
